Sarah Edmonds is an illustrator, printmaker and book artist. She grew up in rural Wales surrounded and fascinated by the natural world and this has been an important influence on the subject matter of her work.  Sarah’s prints, paper cuts, gouache paintings and line illustrations are inspired by folk art meets unusual characters meets quirky narratives. Colour is very important to Sarah as is the use of typography in her work and she works with screen and lino printing as well as digitally.

She spent the summer of 2013 working as an artist in residence for Kultivera in Tranas, Sweden. Clients include Box of Frogs Media, Milgi Lounge in Cardiff, National Theatre Wales, Humble by Nature, Amelia’s Magazine and Green City Events. Sarah also teaches classes in artist books, letterpress and lino printing as an associate tutor for Cardiff Open Art School.

She is able to undertake illustration / artwork commissions – so do get in touch if you’d like her to draw or make something, or to talk more about your project.

She is also available to run workshops and have experience of working with a variety of ages. Why not head over to the workshops page to find out about forthcoming classes?

Or feel free to tell me what you’re up to, say hello and send links to things…..I look forward to hearing from you!
